Did you follow my instructions? I told you to wear only the dress and shoes I sent to you." He took a slow drink of whiskey - his gaze moving up and down her body. She felt a strange mix of discomfort and excitement.
 "Yes."
 "Show me." He put the empty glass onto the table.
 "No."
"Have you forgotten your job description already? No one else can see you."
Lorraine knew he was right. The area just inside the door was not visible from the auditorium. 
"I won't do it."
"So you wish to resign?"
"No. Maybe. I don't know."
He looked away just long enough to refresh his glass. "I'm waiting."  
What should she do? Tell him to go fuck himself - that's what. What about her job? What would she do for money? What would she tell Philip? And why, oh why did she so want to do his bidding? She didn't speak or move for what seemed like an age, and then turned her back to him. The door handle was right there in front of her. All she had to do was to open the door and leave.
She pushed the strap off her left shoulder, and then did the same with the other strap. Her heart was racing faster than she thought possible. Her mouth was dry. She heard him put the glass down onto the table as she reached behind her, and began to pull down the zip. 
"Good," he said, as her dress fell to her ankles. "Now turn around."
As she did, she instinctively tried to cover her breasts
